About this site
The main function of this site is of course to tell you about Fringe 2003. You can search the programme by day, by artform, by act name or keyword, even by whether an event is free. If you can think of another way of arranging things that could be useful, tell us and we'll try to do it next time.
We find it interesting and illustrative to keep up past years' programmes too - of course we only have them for the years since we had a web programme, starting in 1997. You might get a better measure of past years by looking at the documentation project set up by a fine site called The Process (whose creators are now otherwise engaged) which records some events of 1998-2000. There are a few reviews from previous years too.
This is where the third function of the site comes in. It is our intention that this site also becomes a place for you to tell us what you think about the festival or anything in it. We will include reviews (all formats and media accepted) and there is a message board for discussion. We're not a big organisation and you can be certain that any comments, good or bad, will get straight to its target: artist, organiser, or that gorgeous boy/girl you spotted who just happens to be a Fringe volunteer.
There is a page of links to our very bestest friends and some essential Bath information to help you plan a visit to Fringe 2003. Anything else you may want to know you can always EMail us, it's loads better than the telephone, especially as we get close to festival time...
If you want a printed programme, send us an A4 33p sae to Bath Fringe Programme, 103 Walcot Street, Bath BA1 5BW. In the weeks coming up to the festival the website will of course highlight any updates, developments, changes. If you're on our mailing list you may also get some of these by EMail.
