Bath Fringe Festival 2004
Friday 5 December 2008
Welcome to the biggest-ever Bath Fringe Festival, 190 events (or even more if you use Government counting methods!) over 17 Days in the unique architectural and artistic treasure that is the city of Bath.
Nearly every artform we can think of is represented in here somewhere, on all levels from International renown to cult status to new and local artists who you're going to be hearing more about in years to come.
Where do they all come from? Sometimes we ask ourselves the same thing!
On top of the core programme of free events, special events and installations organised by the Fringe Committee, the bulk of the festival is there because of the enthusiasm of Bath promoters, venues, artists and performers.
Everything in the festival and on this site is here because someone thinks it's brilliant and they want you to know about it!
Get onto the event search or scroll through the complete programme and see what you can find!
But just before you do that, we can't resist drawing your attention to:
The PleasureDome: this year's temporary venue on the Recreation Ground – shows Friday 28 – Sunday 6 from: Tango Siempre, Caramela Son, Baka Beyond, Jim Moray, Noel Britten & Tim Vine, Sirius B + Billy Buckly & the Organauts, Papa Noel and Bana Congo, T he Country Joe Band, Clare Teal, Old Rope String Band.
Visual Arts programme all round the city – all fortnight.
Bedlam Fair Street Arts weekend including all the fixtures, The Quest, and a new Saturday Evening event – June 5&6
Kids' Events all the half-term week including a great day at Bath City Farm on June 2.
TWO Fringe clubs and plenty more unconventional nights out – all fortnight.
BeingHuman – a festival-within-the-festival from the cutting edge of world music fusion at Invention Arts.
Walcot Nation Day, the last word in Fringe Days Out There – Sunday June 13.
