Bath Fringe Festival 2006
Friday 26th May - Sunday 11th June

We're too modest to say that Bath Fringe is the best thing to happen in Bath all year... No, let's be utterly frank and say: Bath Fringe 2006 is 201 of the best things to happen in Bath all year. Luckily for you, you've come to the best place to find out everything there is to know about the lot of them.
Click on the buttons above to find some of the various and multifarious ways round the festival, or make up your own and tell us about them on the message board. If you want a printed programme send an A4 sae with a 64p stamp to the address below and we'll send you one straight back - programmes can also be found at venues around Bath, the Box Office, Bath Tourist Information, the Library, and in some neighbouring towns and cities..
If you want to know more about the Fringe's Visual Art programme (even more venues and artists!) click through to their site here.
There's too much going on to summarise it all here and that's not what this site is for or this festival is about: for an easy generalisation, anything on these pages is worthy of your attention just because it's here! The only way something got in this programme was because someone really thought it was worth doing, and that's a real recommendation where I come from. Got that? Good.

OK, that said, we'll bend your ear just a minute to indicate two further pages you should look at, at least, before you leave this site. The Orange Spiegeltent is back again on Bath Recreation Ground bang in the centre of town by Pulteney Weir and yet again it's better than ever. Another 10 days of the best venue Bath has ever had! It's worth coming just for the Spiegeltent itself, but just to make sure you drop in ('cos we'd like to see you) we've arranged more comedy and more music than ever before, plus a full week of Kids' events throughout the half term week.

And on the middle weekend of the festival, Bedlam Fair, the Fringe's Street Arts weekend, is bigger and better than ever before too! Thanks to some major grant injections, we're bringing you the best programme of street theatre and outdoor performance that we've ever been able to do, with visiting acts from France, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Italy and Australia, as well as Bath and the West Country. Look at the Bedlam page and the listings for 2-4 June, and pick up one of our special Bedlam programmes should you happen to see one...

Outside of that you'll find plenty more in this guide, the weird, the wonderful and the weird again. See what you can find - and we'll see you there!!

Elsewhere on this site you can find out more about being involved in the festival this year or next, or information if you're already doing something; find out more about everything from the history of the festival to getting around Bath; or sign onto our EMailing list for regular updates, including warnings about changed, cancelled or sold-out shows... That's useful!

Bath Fringe lives at admin@bathfringe.co.uk or 103 Walcot Street, Bath, Somerset, England, BA1 5BW.
