Art with teeth - a multi-media exhibition of art on the wild side. Paintings, constructions, print & photography by artists from the southwest.

Be - Artifacts

A wearable sculpture exhibition, the history of Art on fifteen feet of railings, inept street portraiture and incompetent living statues. The Be-Artifacts are on the streets throughout the festival. The group will be recruiting for, and publicising the Be-Art Network, a regional network for artists, musicians and designers.

Bath Textile Artists Festival Exhibition

Bath Textile Artists

The group was formed over ten years ago with the objective of bringing together textile artists in the Bath area to support and encourage individual skills. They exhibit regularly, undertake commissions and have work in collections both in this country and abroad. Exhibits include embroidery, quilts, felts and mixed media.

Art Tours and Open Studios

Free guided minibus tours of artists' studios, plus many festival exhibitions around the city. Take in loads of culture and see artists in their natural habitats! A leaflet listing opening times and locations of all studios and exhibitions is also available with S.A.E. from the Fringe office.

Buses run Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 May; Saturday 30 & Sunday 31 May; Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 June.

Tyros And Masters

Local branches of the Guild of Spinners, Weavers & Dyers, Women's Woodwork Centre and the Decoy Wildfowl Carvers Association, collaborate in an exhibition showing work by novice members as well as that of their more experienced colleagues. Also tapestry and fabric collage workshops and demonstrations by Janet North and Anne Carpenter are available.

To celebrate Aaron Evans Associates' 20th Anniversary, an Exhibition examining planning, building and conservation in Bath over the last 30 years, looking at lessons learned and ideas for the future.

Bath Volunteer Bureau Photographic Competition

A chance to recognise voluntary work through positive images. Submit one or two photos of people involved in actions that make a difference to others or the environment.
