Quinteto AmericaThis year's Fringe festival is pleased to host a concert of the very best in Latin American acoustic music performed by five musicians from Columbia, Cuba & Bolivia. Their repertoire gathers rhythms from some of the most musically influential countries in the Americas, such as Mexico and Cuba. The unique depth and variety of Latin music is explored on a variety of string instruments including the Venezuelan cuatro, Cuban requinto and violin, and accompanied by percussion and vocals. The Flash Company with Rosie Upton Transported WomenTransported Women is a presentation which reveals through words and music the fate of the many thousands of women who were unjustly transported as convicts.
